One of our five priorities at St David’s Business Centre is to reduce our carbon footprint. In support of this, we have continued to invest in low energy lighting, replacing the fluorescent lights previously common throughout the building. This has now progressed to 80% replacement of all light fittings and we are on track to complete the project by 2024.
Beyond lighting, we have also removed redundant pipework to further eliminate waste in our heating system. An evaluation is underway to reduce the capacity of the hot water stored in the heating system to improve efficiency while continuing to meet its demands.
In addition, we are currently assessing potential for electric vehicle charging and solar energy generation on site.
